Social Values Assessment Report – Balmacara Estate

We recently published the Social Values Assessment Report for Balmacara Estate, a c. 2,500 hectare crofting estate in Lochalsh on the West coast of Scotland. In this post, we briefly summarise the assessment findings before considering wider relevance of the Report for those not working directly with the property.

Findings from Fyvie Castle, Gardens and Estate

The first pilot assessment that we have completed is that for Fyvie Castle, Gardens and Estate. This proved to be a really fascinating assessment, with a mixture of overlapping interests, values, and activities associated with different aspects of the property. In this post we provide an overview of the assessment process and summarise some of the key findings.
